4.15.13 - Good Morning 4's Families
Dear 4’s Families,
Our class caterpillars are getting huge! As we learn about the life cycle of a butterfly we are reminded of Jesus resurrection and our freedom from sin and death because of what He has done for us. Hallelujah!!
We’ll continue our Community Helpers unit. We are learning about all of the different people and jobs that are necessary to provide a community. This week we will have a visit from TV Fire and Rescue.
Your children’s ability to create art is truly amazing! Our artist this month is Georgia O’Keefe. Ms. O’Keefe is known for her love of nature and her detailed paintings of flowers. The children examined some flowers to note shape and shades of color and then created their masterpieces. The artwork is on display on the purple wall in the hallway. This week we are blessed with our own artist in residence, Pastor Mark. Pastor will teach the children about working with clay and each student will have the opportunity to make a clay pot.
Our annual auction/jog-a-thon fundraiser is just around the corner. A packet with all the info went home on Friday April 5. Auction items will be available for bidding starting April 21 and the Jog-a-thon is scheduled for Friday, May 3, rain or shine. Thanks to Mandy Christmann and Rose Birkemeier for coordinating this event.
This Sunday is our last PRESCHOOL SUNDAY for this school year. The children have learned several songs and lots of new sign language. Please bring your child to his/her preschool room at 10:30am. Worship begins at 10:45am. After worship we’ll have a Family Picnic (hopefully with some nice weatherJ). We’ll provide the hotdogs, buns, condiments and drinks. Families can bring a side dish or dessert to share.
