4.23.13 - Good Morning 3's Families
Dear 3’s Families,
Thanks to all the families who blessed us with your presence at worship on Sunday! The children’s sweet praises were a delight.
What child doesn’t like superheroes? We’ll be learning about some superheroes in the Bible. This week is the story of Joshua. Against all odds, Joshua followed God’s plan of marching around the city walls of Jericho. On the 7th day Joshua witnessed God’s miracle as the walls came tumbling down!
Our class caterpillars are getting huge! They have spun cocoons, and now we wait. It won’t be long before we can witness the miracle of metamorphosis as they become butterflies.
Thanks to Firefighter Tom Jacquemin (Tyler’s dad) and crew who came with the fire truck to visit the 3’s classes last Thursday. We continue our Community Helpers unit, learning about all of the different people and jobs that are necessary to provide a community. On Tuesday, Officer Ryan Burdette, Jaycee’s dad, will visit our school and tell us about the important work that police officers do in our community.
Our annual jog-a-thon fundraiser is just around the corner. A packet with all the info went home and we hope you are collecting lots of pledges. Family and friends can also donate online. Raffle tickets are still on sale.
Auction items are available for bidding. Check out all the wonderful items on display in the hallway upstairs.
The Jog-a-thon is scheduled for Friday, May 3, rain or shine. Thanks to Mandy Christmann and Rose Birkemeier for coordinating this event.
