4.22.13 - Good Morning 4's Families
Dear 4’s Families,
Thanks to all the families who blessed us with your presence at worship on Sunday! The children’s sweet praises were a delight.
What child doesn’t like superheroes? We’ll be learning about some superheroes in the Bible. This week is the story of Joshua who didn’t waver in his faith and was chosen to lead God’s people into the promised land. Joshua believed God’s improbable plan, marched around the city of Jericho and witnessed God’s miracle of knocking down the walls.
Our class caterpillars are getting huge! They have spun cocoons, and now we wait. It won’t be long before we can witness the miracle of metamorphosis as they become butterflies.
We’ll continue our Community Helpers unit. We are learning about all of the different people and jobs that are necessary to provide a community. On Wed Dental Hygienist, Amberlee will visit and teach us how to care for our teeth and what to expect when we visit the dentist. Friday is our trip to Murray-Scholls Library. If you want your child to get a library card please return the form. Please also return the permission slip. Parents and siblings are welcome to join us for this trip.
Our annual jog-a-thon fundraiser is just around the corner. A packet with all the info went home and we hope you are collecting lots of pledges. Family and friends can also donate online. Raffle tickets are still on sale.
Auction items are available for bidding. Check out all the wonderful items on display in the hallway upstairs.
The Jog-a-thon is scheduled for Friday, May 3, rain or shine. Thanks to Mandy Christmann and Rose Birkemeier for coordinating this event.
