Dear School Families:
Welcome to Our Redeemer Preschool and Kindergarten!!
We are excited to begin a new school year and to partner with you in your child’s first steps into education. Our program has expanded this year to include two 3’s classes, three 4’s classes with an extended day option and our first kindergarten class. Our energetic and faith-filled staff includes teachers: Darlene Thauland, Angel Thome, Sarah Amberg and Renae Johnson and teacher aides: Anne Symes, Angie Stromme and Andrea Hackett. Our Redeemer’s teaching team will work side-by-side with you, to love, nurture and teach your child each day.
Sharing the Faith and Love of Jesus Christ is the exciting cornerstone of education at Our Redeemer. We are eager to share this faith and love with your child each day as we learn about the unconditional love and forgiveness that Jesus has for each of us. We will explore the wonderful world around us, develop friendships and of course, have fun.
Each morning the children enjoy a snack time together. They bring a snack from home except when we are celebrating someone’s birthday. The birthday boy or girl will provide snack for his/her class. Snacks should be manageable in portion for little appetites. Water will be provided as a beverage during snack time. Because of the prevalence of food allergies Our Redeemer is a nut-free school this year.
As the month progresses there are opportunities for parents to volunteer in the classroom. This is a great way to participate in your child’s education. I understand that some parents may be able to volunteer more time than others due to siblings, work or other commitments. Please feel welcome, but do not feel pressured. Volunteering is a time for you to enjoy when you are able. Parents might get to work with paint or art supplies, so dress to have fun!
At Our Redeemer we believe that a strong, positive start to a child’s education is essential in developing a life-long love of learning. It is my hope that together we can make this a year full of fun, learning, discovery and growth.
Please feel free to contact me any time. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks again for sharing your child with us. We are honored to serve God, your family and these precious children.
Blessings as We Begin,
Darlene Thauland, School Director
