What I Do:  My role is classroom aide for the Kindergarten.  My responsibilities include assisting the classroom teacher in the daily learning activities and help keep a happy and organized learning environment.

What I Love About Our Redeemer:  What I love most about Our Redeemed is the staff.  From my first conversation with a teacher about enrolling our kids, to the day they graduated Kindergarten, the staff has been loving, caring, empathetic and living examples of God's word.  I am honored to be a member or the Our Redeemer family!

Hobbies:  I love to sew!

Fun Fact: I have traveled to Africa on safari.  I love archaeology and have been involved with a number of digs.  I don't like clowns.

Jen Lampkin, 4's Teacher

What I do:  Teaching is playing, reading, laughing, singing, moving, counting, and encouraging a love of learning in everyone.  I get to see children filled with wonder as they broaden their understanding of the world. Their proud smiling faces shine as they master new skills and share their many talents with friends and family. Each day we embark on a new adventure with limitless potential waiting to unfold.

What I love about Our Redeemer:  I love the kindhearted people that make up the community of Our Redeemer.  This group reaches out to help others with compassion and love in the name of Jesus.

What I do: I love to ask questions and try and encourage little minds to find their own way to solve a problem.  I look for opportunities to teach kids in real, everyday situations that will be meaningful and important to them and LOVE to celebrate with them when they are successful and encourage and cheer for them when they struggle.  I feel incredibly blessed to be able to play and learn and laugh with your children!

What I love about Our Redeemer: Our Redeemer is so much more than a church, it is community and family.  We love calling this place our home and have been met so warmly and genuinely.

Favorite Bible Verse(s): Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us. And let us run with perseverance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

I love this verse because it reminds me that not only do we have a savior who we can count on to be with us when the road we are on gets tough, but we have others that God places in our lives who will also cheer us on as we follow His will, keeping Him as our focus. So awesome!

Hobbies: Music, sewing, photography and being with my own kiddos!

Fun Fact: If it were possible, I would live in a musical.  Like a real live theatre production where you sing your troubles away and the entire town joins in in a perfectly choreographed and harmonized song. (By the way, it's ok to laugh at how absurd that is.)

What I do: I am blessed to share and encourage the everyday eureka moments with children as they learn about themselves and the world around them.

What I love about Our Redeemer: Our Redeemer is an amazing and diverse group of wonderful people who unconditionally love this community and welcome everyone with open arms and hearts.

Favorite Bible Verse(s):Matthew 17:20 He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."

When I was a little girl, my grandmother gave me a little bracelet that had a mustard seed in a little locket, and she explained to me that even small things are very powerful and that having faith and love for God and Jesus anything and everything is possible, even if that faith is the size of that tiny seed.

Hobbies: It would probably be easier to list the things that do not interest me but to name a few... I love all things outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and white water rafting. I love to cook and bake, dig in the dirt, travel, I love music and the arts, I love spending time with friends and family, but most of all I love being a mom.

Fun Fact: I like Skydiving and I can't whistle.

Anne Symes, 3's and 4's Teacher Aide

What I do: I serve alongside our preschool teachers to help educate and care for our students.  I am happy to support our teachers in the classroom, and all the little people and families that walk through our doors.  As a Sunday School teacher and preschool teacher assistant, I want to help children learn about the love of Christ Jesus.

What I love about Our Redeemer: I love being a member at Our Redeemer because we come together as a family of faith, to celebrate the love of Jesus.  We are a healthy mix of young and old.  I think our congregation is interesting because a large portion of our members were not raised in a Lutheran church.

Favorite Bible Verse: One of my favorite Bible verses is from Luke 7:50. Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you, go in peace."

Hobbies: I like reading, listening to people tell their stories, scrapbooking, travelling, walking (rain or shine), spending time with family/friends, and watching my children play sports.

Fun Fact: In August of 1990, I drove my VW Jetta from Anchorage, Alaska to St. Louis, Missori, before starting my graduate program in social work at Washington University.
