Blanchet House recipient of
Youth Service Event

Providing for the homeless and underserved in our community is a priority at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. With winter looming, the middle and high school youth of ORLC assembled and delivered winter care kits to the Blanchet House in Portland.

Sharing our
Blessings at Christmas

Many generous Santas this Christmas blessed the children of the Community Transitional School of Portland (CTS) with Christmas gifts on Christmas morning. All 62 students received two or more gifts from their 'wish' list and, additionally, 14 staff members of CTS were treated to small gifts.

The students of this school daily live with homelessness and a myriad of resulting issues. This school reaches out into the community to make sure that education doesn’t become one more thing that these kids learn to do without.

We strive to support the community around us as we work to build community within our church family.

Our goal is for our ministry to be a resource in our community.
-  Our school has provided a Christ-centered introduction to education for area children since 2008.

-  Ministry programs support families in our community through projects in conjunction with Love INC Tigard-Tualatin-Sherwood and The Community Transitional School in Portland.

Our members are invested in the functioning of our church
serving in countless roles to
-  shape and guide our ministry,
-  maintain our buildings and grounds, and
-  participate in our worship practices through music, worship assistant roles and Altar service.

Music is an important part of our ministry contributing to our worship services through contemporary instrumentals and vocals, traditional choir, and occasional soloist performances.
