Our Beliefs
Centered on Jesus. Rooted in God's Word
Everyone builds their life on something. At Our Redeemer, we build ours on Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word.
Our Redeemer is part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
If you are wondering what we believe and why it matters, these core truths are a great place to start.

These three core beliefs are at the heart of who we are and what we believe.

Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura)

God's Word is our foundation.

The Bible is God’s inspired Word and our final authority for faith and life. It is through Scripture that God reveals His love, His promises, and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”  Psalm 119:105

Grace Alone (Sola Gratia)

Salvation is God’s free gift.

We cannot earn God’s love or forgiveness. Salvation comes entirely by God’s grace through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

“For it is by grace you have been saved…”  Ephesians 2:8–9

Faith Alone (Sola Fide)

We receive God’s gift through faith.

Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ as our Savior. Even that faith is a gift from God, created by the Holy Spirit through His Word.

“For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.” Romans 3:28

Christ at the Center

These three truths all point to one greater truth: Christ Alone. Everything we do from worship and Bible study to serving our neighbors is centered on Jesus and the hope He gives.

Our prayer is that these truths will lead you to know Jesus more deeply and trust in His saving grace.
